Dean: "New Jersey is a major battleground state in 2005."
Jim Dean:
"New Jersey is a major battleground state in 2005. Like Virginia, New Jersey is holding a gubernatorial contest as well as state legislative races. This is a state where Republicans have made inroads over the last several years, and a state where the Democratic Party could use a shot of progressive, reform energy to reestablish its credibility."

1. Eh?
Corzine's a pretty popular guy with wads of cash and most of the Democratic machines sown up while the Republicans are running the same tired losers.

The real fight is next year when we have a good chance to pick up a few House seats. But it won't be easy or pretty.

And we're looking at two open Senate seats we'll have to worry about. If Corzine appoints Menendez and Lautenberg retires, we got some job to keep those seats.

3. Hmmmm...
The rethugs are running, who? Doug Forrester? How many different elections has he lost in New Jersey? Bret Schundler is another wash-out. Forrester is already running TV ads.

6. And John Murphy
For some reason there are a lot of Murphy signs around here... I feel like putting a Corzine sign over it. Too bad Corzine will loose my county...

5. All those stupid signs
of Lonegan's I saw all over Route 55 this weekend. When are they going to mow? Maybe someone can take care of those signs as well.
