It hurt Kerry-- and maybe Corzine.

3. I don't know maybe cause the #'s add up to 87%
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 11:52 PM by I_Make_Mistakes
45 + 37 = 82 + 5 = 87. Where's the other 13%?

I am not trying to be nasty, but sometimes you gotta do the math.

5. It could be a number of factors
Wasn't there news over the weekend about some kind of baseless corruption charge regarding Corzine? He'll win in the long run, but i agree. This is too close for comfort.

6. ugh, Forrester shouldn't be this close
I really despise Forrester for some reason. I think it's because he reminds me of a cross between Richard Nixon and a grown up Martin Prince.

Still, you can't really complain about an 8 point lead, it's not desperation time yet. Plue another poll shows Corzine up by 10.

7. also
Corzine may have slipped a little, But Forrester's numbers haven't climbed at all. I think he's pretty much locked in at 37-40%.

8. No matter what Mc Greevey did,
it does not even come CLOSE to BushCo. The sooner everyone realizes that, the better. BTW, what is the * approval rating currently in New Jersey? A poll in June I read had * at a 58% disapproval rating, but I haven't seen any poll results lately. Figure all of the people who disapprove of * are not going to vote for Forrester. That would be like shooting off one's nose to spite their face, right?

9. Did you see Bush's numbers fell under 40%?
American Research has Bush at 36 percent.

Among all Americans, 36% approve of the way Bush is handling his job as president and 58% disapprove. When it comes to Bush's handling of the economy, 33% approve and 62% disapprove.

Among Americans registered to vote, 38% approve of the way Bush is handling his job as president and 56% disapprove, and 36% approve of the way Bush is handling the economy and 60% disapprove.

Now we have to jack Democratic numbers. Bush is taking care of the Republicans, but we are not taking advantage for ourselves.

11. I have faith Corzine will win easily and here's why
I didn't vote for him. I thought he was another rich guy trying to buy his way into office,(all the local news reports were hyping the excessive spending in this race).

He won, and turned out to be for the people, go figure, rich guy, actually cares about the little guy. It should be a cake walk for him. The rich (5 %), will vote for him, the less fortunate know about the Emperor (NJ's educational system is very good, they are getting it, finally).

If this race is even close, then, I will say BS!

12. so let me get this straight....
because you guys had a closet case homosexual as your governor, the democrats have to chance to keep the governor seat.

that's stupid, the whole party should not be blamed for mcgrevey being gay, it was his choice.

13. Remember, 2004, the Repub's here (NJ) tried to hype that Bush had a
chance? There was an influx of $, but our numbers turned out too be completely different. McGreevey's (sp?) #'s were high (after his outing), many didn't want him to resign (I am pretty sure it was over 50%). It didn't matter to most of us, don't believe what you hear.
