MoveOn Student Action is organizing national campus screenings of “Going
Upriver”. It’s an excellent documentary that sets the record straight
about Kerry’s military service. But Going Upriver is really about the
other story, about how John Kerry, students and veterans led a
national grassroots movement to oppose the most powerful men on the
planet and end an unjust war. It’s an incredibly effective and
inspirational piece – and that’s not a surprise – it’s the kind of
heroism we need today.

The movie illustrates Kerry's leadership and courage while fighting in
the war, and those same qualities as he returned home and stood up to
an earlier president who led our nation in the wrong direction. More
than just a history lesson, the movie reveals why John Kerry is
exactly the kind of leader a nation at war needs today. You can see
the trailer at:

Let's build on the momentum from the debates by bringing an undecided
friend or family member to the movie to see the true story about John
Kerry. This film completely refutes the Republican-funded swiftboat
attack ads by talking to the real soldiers who served alongside John
Kerry. It shows the true caliber of the man who not only had the
courage to fight in Vietnam, but had the strength of character to
fight to end the war when he returned home.

If there's anyone among your friends or family who have questions or
doubts about Kerry's service, we urge you to take them to see this
film.

All are welcome to attend.
