Off the wall - but does anyone want to meet at RJ Winn or
Micheal Thomas or Satellite for coffee in the morning? I thought I would still be in Las Vegas NM today....we found better land in a closer valley.

Just curious.....

1. Hi alittlelark...it's too late for coffee now but
We are looking to relocate to NM and visited Santa Fe, Las Cruces, T or C and Albuquerque ealy last month. Great state.

We'll be back possibly in late May to continue our search. We're an older retired couple and are looking for a modest 2 or 3 bedroom house in a nice quiet town.

Any ideas?

5. While in Arizona last Feb., we looked at Mesa and Tempe . Lots to like.
Arizona is definitely worth taking another look.

6. if you want big city shopping and amenities PHX is good
but smoggy and crowded

a better spot may be the Prescott Valley or Green Valley south of Tucson (which is a nice little city itself)

Taxes are higher than NM though, but you'll have a blast exploring for a new home :bounce:

8. Check out Mountainair for a great small town
I live ten miles outside of Mountainair. It's a very small town with a cute two block downtown in the middle of the state. Nothing around it for miles and miles... It was a rancher town but lots of interesting people are moving in. There are inexpensive houses in town and old ranches being divided into 40 acres each. Outside of town, only one house allowed on 40 acres because of water. Suddenly lots of people are moving it. Everyone knows everyone - great community. Never a line at the post office and you can get your car license renewed in 4 minutes.
