Hillary Clinton's Senate office puts constituents right to voicemail.

Just a bit of a rant...

I'm sick of Hillary Clinton and her DC Senate office phonelines. Whenever I try to call that office, it's busy 99% of the time (which can be understandable) but then they don't leave you with an opportunity to wait for someone to pick up the phone. Instead they leave an answering service message that tells you to leave your name and phone number and what you are calling about and that says someone will get back to you. (They never do of course). Why does she allow this to happen? Is she so inconsiderate of her constituents that her staffers can't be bothered talking with them on the phone?

At least when you call Chuck Schumer's office and all staffers are busy, you can stay on hold until one of them can take your call.

I would say she probably has 100 times the phone traffic that Schumer does. And actually less staff, since he is DSCC

There should be a voice message stating what the deal is and thanking the callers for caring enough to call.

His DSCC position probrably doesn't give him more staff in his Senate office, and Schumer is a senior member of the Judiciary Committee, and involved in a lot of things.

I am not suprised. She has spoken up a coupla time the past few days, but I think she is more interested in 2008 than anything.

I think she takes for granted than any left-leaning emailer has her vote, and figures she doesn't need to have anyone waste their time on me. I wish we could challenge her in a primary.

On the John Roberts issue for example, where I called, emailed and faxed. I have had nothing back. She really needs to be much more responsive and stop taking us for granted. And, yeah maybe she could use a challenge in the primary.

I wrote an email to Hillary ONCE and she answered me several days later. I have also been getting emails from her a few times a month since then (must be on her mailing list). I did mention in my email that I was an Independent who had voted for her in the last election and that I was very upset with the direction she was taking lately on several issues. Maybe that caught her eye. She has to be concerned about losing the people who did vote for her, either for a Senate or Presidential run. Who knows?

Schumer, on the other hand, never answered any of my emails.

I've called both offices (Shumer's and Clinton's) and have spoken with staffers at both places. My e-mails to Clinton are answered, but Shumer's office never answers e-mails.

I mean, can you just imagine trying to answer 100 calls a minute which have the equivalent of "Is your refrigerator running? Then DIE, BITCH! DIE!"

Hillary is such a magnet for hatred that even our side is afraid of her running. I think that the "straight to voice-mail" may be a defensive effort. A person is unlikely to leave a message threatening someone - since that could be used legally against the caller . . .

I use an answering machine to screen our calls at home. Lord knows how many times it has saved us from telemarketers . . .

If a stupid freeptard calls and talks nonsense say "Thanks for your opinion" and hang up. That only takes five seconds. To shut communication off between her and her constituents for screening purposes means that the clinton-hating bushbots win. Her office loses touch with the people who vote for her, who are her constituents and want to get their voices heard.

spoke with a staffer. He was absolutely wonderful, warm, and we had a nice conversation.

to email from her office and someone always was there to speak to but lately no answers and sometimes it just rings, not even a a machine. My last email wasn't too nice. I wanted answers about her wanting to send more troops instead of bringing them back and told her not to count on my support unless she changed her position. Well, maybe that had something to do with it, in the past my comments were asking for support or thanking her for a vote.
