any advice of what to expect or watch out for? It is in NY State.

1. Great!

The NYS Board of Elections site has a pdf link to the election law.
http://www.elections.state.ny.us/download/law/NYElection2005CD.pdf

Page 248 of the pdf begins "Conduct of Elections", if you read that tonight it should really help you.

Watch for stickers in the booths, on donut boxes, or other propoganda within 100 feet of the door of the building. Any issues, call your lawers or the cops. PM me if you are in Nassau.
