Former Vice President Al Gore
Gore’s environmental record is unparalleled. His pioneering efforts to protect the earth’s ozone layer and to clean up toxic-waste dumps were outlined in his best-selling book “Earth in the Balance: Ecology and the Human Spirit,” which recently was made into a motion picture entitled “An Inconvenient Truth.”

2. Minor correction -- it's SUNY, not NYU
NYU is a private university located almost entirely in Manhattan, with its Arts & Sciences campus centered on Washington Square Park in the West Village.

SUNY (State University of New York) is a public, state university with campuses all over the state, including Buffalo.

This event is at SUNY Buffalo, not a branch of NYU.

As far as I know the University of Buffalo still retains it,s name. Isn,t the U.B.? And if you look into local history you will find,The issue at hand has been a hot issue for more than eighty years!
In fact befor the model T Ford went into production!

There were a few scientists around in Buffalo in those days!
More than three!
