are going to gather to do an all day qi gong class. Has anyone simply gathered in Central Park? Will we be asked to "break it up?"

1. Qi Gong ?
I have had a couple of qi gong massages -- but is qi gong generally like tai chi (eg. breathing/stretching/exercise)?

I called 311 -- they say if the group is over 20 people you need a permit. It is $25 and you get it here:

2. It's a series of movements that one can perform to generate and cultivate chi
it's easy to learn, harder to make yourself do EVERY morning. Chi is the energy of which we are made. We cultivate "true" chi in order to ensure that the action in our lives is "true."

Hey, THANKS for this calling 311 and getting this information. I really appreciate it!! DU folks are the best--especially the NY versions.

3. Just tell everyone to wear "Bloomberg for President" buttons.
You'll be fine.

(Truthfully, I don't know, but good luck with the event.)
