United For Peace & Justice has a job opening.
Got this in my email today. It's probably based out of their NYC office, but I cross-posted in the DC forum and GD just in case someone outside the metro area wants to apply.

This includes work with allies in Congress and in DC-based groups, and coordination of our grassroots pressure efforts. - recruit new members to the LAN
- update and moderate listservs

2) Work closely with UFPJ’s Voter Engagement Working Group:
- In targeted Congressional districts, share information with local organizers about incumbents’ voting records on Iraq and other items important to UFPJ.
- Help organizers understand the role of Congress in relation to Iraq, in order to develop clear demands on those running for office.
- Help develop materials for use in bird-dogging of candidates.

3) Direct UFPJ’s grassroots pressure campaign, using a wide range of tactics, around UFPJ's major priorities:
- Prepare periodic updates and alerts for UFPJ’s member groups and/or full email list.
- Maintain Legislative Action pages on the UFPJ website.
- Prepare talking points, flyers and other materials as needed.
- When necessary, oversee and facilitate grassroots lobby efforts by members of the network including providing resources and information for de-centralized, coordinated lobby days as well Washington, DC national lobby days.

4) Maintain close communication with national organizations in UFJP and other partners, and with Members of Congress and their staff to both represent the perspective of UFPJ and to get up-to-date information.

Qualifications: strong agreement with UFPJ's political perspective; grassroots organizing experience, with a preference for people who are familiar with a range of legislative pressure strategies; familiarity with Congress and its operations; strong writing and communications skills, including electronic media; facilitation skills; self-directed and efficient. Women and people of color are strongly urged to apply.
