In my mailbox yesterday---"Godless Americans want Kay Hagan in the US Senate"
This repulsive mailing says it was paid for by the North Carolina Republican State Executive Committee WWW.NCGOP.ORG and that it was authorized by and for the benefit of Elizabeth Dole Committee, Inc. Anyone else get one of these?

1. I got one yesterday.
She must be running scared. I had to look at it a couple of times to believe that it wasn't a joke.
That's some crazy shit.

2. disgusting
I just got one in my mailbox down here in South Carolina. I haven't lived in NC in over a year and I was NEVER registered republican. It wasn't forwarded mail and I am disturbed that they have may address here.

This was a repulsive, slanderous, and, frankly, insulting mailing that just pushes me even farther from the generally moderate/centrist views I've held in the past. This, in my opinion, crosses the line of the separation of church and state. It essentially suggests that atheists/agnostics/non-theists are un-worthy of recognition in the voting process. I feel dirty for even touching the thing taking it out of the mailbox straight to the trash.

3. I absolutely agree----not very American, if you ask me!
I find it very strange that this "thing" came to you in South Carolina. It's beyond the pale!

5. Something NEW in today's mail----"Obsession"---just pure trash!!!
I guess it's because NC is considered a toss-up state, so they will throw the nasty stuff our way. Here's what a reviewer had to say: "I am going to tell you that this DVD reminded me of Leni Riefenstahl’s brilliant Nazi propaganda film, “Triumph of the Will.” And, yes, I used the word “propaganda” because “Obsession” devotes just a few paltry minutes explaining the rise of radical Islam and why “they hate us.”

The filmmakers are effective in getting their point across — even if their point is flawed, historically inaccurate and seriously lacking depth and insight.

If Americans really want to know what Muslims in the Islamic world think about America, they should go there and find out for themselves. What they’ll find is that the Islamic world depicted in Morgan Spurlock’s (“Super-Size Me”, “30 Days”), funny, insightful and historically accurate “Where In the World Is Osama bin Laden” (WITWIOBL) is much closer to reality than that horror movie, “Obsession.”

We saw the Spurlock film last week and agree wholeheartedly with this reviewer----definitely worth seing!

8. I got Obsession Wed also. Today on the radio I heard the NRA

9. Yeah, I ripped it up and copped an attitude.
I said, "I don't need anyone else telling me I'm godless and damn right I want Kay Hagan to win!" She'll be good for this state.
