1. Not really
The dem running against Coble is so underfunded it is just sad. I think there is a better chance of Coble having a stroke than there is of him losing his seat.

4. Yep, and here's two conservative papers endorsing Sharpe
I don't know about Coble.

But Sharpe has a chance in the 5th.

The Winston Salem Urinal has endorsed Sharpe, and has been ragging
on Virginia Foxx every chance they get.

Here is what the Elkin Tribune said:

Text
"Two years ago, Virginia Foxx was sent to Congress in an election her party immediately claimed as a mandate for its agenda. Two years later the Republicans and Foxx have produced absolutely nothing, with all of that assumed political leverage, to reward this district for that choice.

We have a President and a Congress utterly incapable of admitting mistakes, and Foxx seems no more inclined to do so, either. Voters, the, should embrace the opportunity to admit an error made in 2004 and make Foxx's opponent, Roger Sharpe, their new voice in Congress."

5. Roger Sharpe - 5th district
As posted above - I heard yesterday Monday)that Roger is polling 43% to Virginia's 49%. Many of us do know Roger and are as impressed as the news rags that have endorsed him. But I think he is benefiting from the "anti-Virginia" vote.

6. Coble is in for good
at least until he croaks. I saw him at a diner the other day with his entourage. He looks BAD!

8. I try every election
I always vote against Coble, but so far, people seem to keep believing he actually does something good for NC. Me, I don't see it
