Cincinnati Gas Prices
Edited on Mon Sep-18-06 01:11 PM by VolcanoJen
So, after reading that infamous Fred Barnes "loose lips" piece about Bush's sitdown with conservative whack-jobs last week, I was more than chilled by this comment, which has been reported on Digby and here at DU, but has been roundly ignored by mainstream media outlets:

http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/012/696wnfcp.asp

In the midterm election on November 7, Bush predicted Democrats
won't win either the House or the Senate. "I believe these elections will come down to two things: one, firm belief that in
order to win the war on terror there must be a comprehensive strategy
that recognizes this war is being fought on more than one front, and, two, the economy." Bush said the price of gasoline, which has been falling rapidly, is one of the "interesting indicators" that the press
should watch carefully. "Just giving you a heads up," he added.

Now, maybe the tin beanie is on a little tight today, but I often visit, and contribute, to this website:

http://cincygasprices.com

I find it interesting that prices have fallen to as low as $1.94 in certain Cincinnati neighborhoods, but remain $0.30 higher in certain other Cincinnati neighborhoods.

Anyone noticing the same trends in their Ohio towns?

Live in a blue (purple, more like it) district, pay more. How will they communicate this to the voters without giving away The Big Secret?

8. It is bouncing around a bit in the Columbus area
This weekend it was down, back up on Monday....also note that it goes down in pennies, but comes up in dimes. $2.33 to 2.31..gradually down to 2.08 then wham! 2.24 again, down to 2.23...(figures from Grove City)

The word "manipulation" just keeps coming to mind, for some reason.

4. Would you say your area is blue, red or purple?
I hate the simplistic terms, too, but you know what I mean.

6. Licking County as a whole is
red with pockets of blue such as Granville and Utica. To be honest, I think the area is fairly apathetic....with the women watching 'American Idol' and the men at their computers w/ p0rn.
