2. that is a tough one !
Petro has a few, but not too many, negatives.

He does have very high name recognition.

Resource wise this would be a very expensive fight for the dems,
unless Mary Jo decides not to run and we can field some one with
a name recognition to match.

3. Just interviewed on NPR
she has a five year old daughter, and previously lost a nine-year old daughter to cancer while also serving in Congress.

??? I thought she was a dolt; maybe she's just been in a permanent state of exhaustion.

Not that I agree with her politics one iota.

5. Petro is just making use of his name recognition from being AG in Columbus
Locals probably don't know he is from Cleveland (area).

8. death-penalty pro-bono work?
From the "openers"
Petro, 58, said he'll continue doing what he's doing -- practicing law, including death-penalty pro-bono work

Death penalty is not "my issue", but I surely don't like the way it is administered in this country. White suspects seem to be able to escape being killed.

The State GOP is scared shitless of Kilroy. Kinda warms your heart, doesn't it?
