Schmidt, Wulsin to face off again for seat in fall
By G. SAM PIATT
PDT Staff Writer
Published: Tuesday, March 4, 2008 11:30 PM CST

Once again, Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Jean Schmidt will face Democrat Victoria Wulsin in this fall's general election to see who goes to Washington to represent the 2nd Congressional District, which stretches along the Ohio River from the Indiana border to Portsmouth...

<snipping>

Schmidt, a marathon runner, narrowly defeated Wulsin 120,112 to 117,595 in the 2006 general election.

Schmidt said it won't be that close this time around. She said the conditions in 2006 were different than they will be this fall.

"In 2006, we had a governor with an indictment and a conviction. There were problems with scandals in Congress. Our gubernatorial candidate lost by 20 points," she said.

1. Where's Tonya Harding when you need her?
Were it not for Mean Jean Schmidt being such a horrible person, the 2006 race would not have been as close. Well the creep learned to shut her mouth for the last two years and that will give the newspapers cover to start saying good things about her.

I mean, what do we have on her?

Is that Piketon nuclear reprocessing facility getting much attention?

2. It was for a while
I posted about it for a while (not in the Ohio forum) but no one seemed interested and the topic dropped like a stone.

8. Piketon has long been a polluted radioactive site, rather like Rocky Flats, CO
What I am referring to is the new plan to move commercial reactor fuel rods to there.
Welcome to our forum :hi:

9. With the high turnout expected this time...
Mean Jean could very well be running more races come 2009...

She will have much more time on her hands...
