14. Dover-New Philadelphia is still NE Ohio
Barely so. But I've always considered it to be within the "boundaries" of the Northeastern quadrant.

4. Extreme SW Ohio
about 1,000 miles SW of Cincinnati. Just kidding. I live in Texas.

SW Ohio does seem to be where the extremists are, though. I've met a few people from Ohio who have moved down here. It seems like it really does depend on which part of your state one resides as to what one believes. The people around Cincinnati might as well be Southerners. If we could go back in time, they'd probably be for the Confederacy.

17. Cincinnati has always been conservative, but more Rockefeller until lately
Ohio Conservatives in the GOP have long followed in the "classic conservative" Rockefeller tradition (i.e. pro-capitalist but anti-interventionist) the way much of the Midwest and Northeast has. But they are gradually fading from political relevance, and are being replaced by the religious fundamentalist neo-conservative types, who are spreading outward from the southern states. Many are moving into Ohio's Cincinnati-Dayton region. As a result, that region is taking on more of a traditional southern outlook.

Right in the midst of the Republican backwater that is Findlay. It's a nice town, shame it's so conservative.

22. Ah, yes.
My aunt and grandmother live over in McClure, and my aunt used to work in Napoleon.

I'm not sure I've ever actually BEEN to Napoleon, but it doesn't sound like I'm missing too much. ;)

6. SW corner of Ohio - in the extremely Repug Hamilton County
We will win in the City of Cincinnati but Ham. County always goes repug. Our job is to diminish their lead here so that the more progressive parts of the state can carry the victory.

13. SW Ohio.
south of Dayton, but not in Centerville (which sounds to be about as far right as Hamilton County). Not quite as conservative as some places around it, but more conservative than I wish it was.

18. Champaign County
we rarely get democrats elected here-and the one we did, Derrick Seaver, state rep., has come out in support of Furious George-needless to say, he has NOT been invited to the Champaign County Democratic Dinner this week.

36. Hey - I'm from Champaign County too!
What a small world. And as you know, an even smaller county. I'm hoping the dems are making progress here - the yard signs seem to be good news. At least not overwhelmingly *'s way. Also, I couldn't believe Seaver's support of *. I started a protest email to him but haven't sent it yet. Haven't completely gotten my thoughts together on how to respond.

24. SW Ohio...
Hamilton County is becoming less and less Republican as people move out to the exoburbs (Mason, West Chester, Northern Kentucky). Good riddance to a bad lot, I say!

27. NE...Massillon
The 16th District that has Jeff Seemann vs Ralph Regula. I went block walking with Jeff last week(volunteer). The response to him was amazing. People really perked up when they got to meet him. Removing "Count Regula" could be more doable than ever. First time in 16 years that Regula is forced to actually campaign!! Help him out if you can.

I live in ultra-conservative Warren County. I am seeing way more Kerry/Edwards signs/stickers than I saw of Gore/Lieberman back in 2000 though!
