Our office was a mess yesterday. The BOE finally posted a list of polling places in the newspaper. Many of the places were different from those we had been given earlier. Our phone calls to people notifying them of polling places had to be done over. I hate to see what today will bring.
Send us hope, DUers, for a fair election. I'm worried. cmd
1. There will be cameras and lawyers everywhere for our side.
And Justice Stevens is the Supreme Court justice who presides over the 6th Circuit - so he on his own has the power to stop challengers. Our lawyers have filed an appeal, and don't think for one hot minute that Stevens hasn't foreseen this coming. I'm betting that he'll issue a stay early in the morning - stopping the challengers from being able to do their damage.
The next step in the challenger case would be for a Supreme Court hearing - and the court won't be able to act in time to change Stevens' decision.
