1. Apparently a lot of them are expected to ... which is worse than it seems
on the surface... it will also tend to roll-back protections that have been gained for gay citizens re. hate-crimes, healthcare and partner benefits. Next step will be that many of the companies operating in those states will repeal their partner benefits.

Who's going to be next?

The hate that is growing against gays in this country sickens me.

6. It's sickening all right. I'm trying to maintain my thrill that Kerry is
winning... but we'll have to fight an even harder battle on gay rights now after all these state amendments... very disappointing.

8. Gays are the "Jews" of America.
Lots of parallels between homophobia and antisemitism.

2. You can thank southern Ohio for that.
We're very conservative down here. The damn republicans were running ads on the black radio stations.

3. I haven't seen numbers on that...
...but it would not surprise me. Kentucky has a similar prop on its ballot and according to WKRC in Cincy it is passing handily. Anyone have numbers on Ohio?

5. UPDATE on Issue 1
As of around 8 p.m.: FOR 63%; AGAINST 34%.

I can rest easy knowing that my marriage is A LOT safer now.

<<sarcasm>>

Nothing worse than voter-approved hate disguised as faith and morals.

9. yes, sadly it has.
I could go off on a rant right now about something I saw just the other day down in cincy, but I am too damn tired right now.
