HELP AMERICA RECOUNT - explanation of who & what - say YES-send $

24. Help America Recount .... more explanation.

BBV is part of the Help America Recount Fund, as is the National Ballot Integrity Project. This new 527 organization had to be established separately for legal reasons because BBV is a 501c3 organization and National Ballot Integrity Project is a 501c4 organization ... neither of which can fund recounts. Here's the description of the new fund from the site http://www.helpamericarecount.org . (It's on the page for sending checks: http://www.helpamericarecount.org/check.html ). The site will be getting fancier and better designed very soon, but we had to get something up NOW!

About the Help America Recount Fund

The Help America Recount Fund is a new 527 fund affiliated with BlackBoxVoting.org and the National Ballot Integrity Project. The sole purpose of the Help America Recount Fund is to finance presidential ballot recounts in Ohio, Florida and elsewhere, for the 2004 election. For more information, contact us at info@helpamericarecount.org . Or you can reach us at Help America Recount Fund, Law Offices of Lowell Finley, 1604 Solano Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94707-2109

2. In Ohio only a candidate can get a recount - donate now - don't wait
http://www.votecobb.org /

Cobb needs to hit $150,000 to cover the cost of the recount.

Already halfway there. The website is updating the progress.

If everybody in this forum gave $50, $20, $10, or $5 they'd hit
their goal before the end of the weekend.

I gave $20 -- it feels good. Do it!
Time is critical to get the ball rolling on this

Let's go DU

Be sure to indicate the donation is for the Ohio Recount Fund.
