98 Degrees Singer possibly running for Cincinnati mayor
By the Cincinnati Post

CINCINNATI | Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected governor of California. The Love Boat's Fred Grandy served two terms as a U.S. congressman from Iowa.

Can an ex-boy band member become Cincinnati's next mayor?

Former 98 Degrees singer Justin Jeffre, a Queen City resident, is mulling a mayoral run this year. He is trying to convince the VH-1 cable network to follow his campaign for a new reality TV series.

Jeffre, 32, recently attended a number of local political forums and discussed the idea with candidates and attendees. Last week, he formally proposed the series to VH-1 executives in New York.

5. Nice Lance Bass Reference!
It makes my JC Chavez joke sort of moot.

Who are the real candidates for 'Natti mayor?

6. Here are the candidates.
David Pepper, (D-Upstanding guy)
Alicia Reese (D-race is everything to her, and incompetent)
Tom Brinkman (R-Whack job)

I wish that Y. Laketa Cole (D-Common Sense) would run.

10. He never dropped in
I think he's saving his powder for the County Commissioner's race. If either Heimlich (thinking of Lt. Gov.) or DeWine (thinking of the 2nd CSD) would leave, there would be a big hole at the top that the Republicans would have a hard time filling. He may also be thinking about Mallory's job should he be elected.

11. Heimlich 'n' DeWine
Interesting, thanks. Under what circumstances would Heimlich have to give up his seat -- does he only lose it if he gets elected LG, or does he give it up just by running?

12. Only if he wins...
Running for office does require an elected official to give up his seat (i.e., John Kerry in the Senate).

8. I thought this was going to be about Nick Lachey..
..isn't he from the 'Natti?

John Cranley would be a good candidate.
