Akron Ohio - get ready for Katrina's wave - Gas to jump at least 20 cents
Yes, I'm aware that all of the US is going to go up.

I decided to let you in on what the clerks at the gas station were saying this AM.

The guy who is usually running the show was saying that, due to Katrina (and her unfortunate wave ;)), the price of gas was going to jump by 20 cents or more, likely to start today.

1. Yeah, right, Katrina, that's the reason
for the funny wave :hi: from the million-dollar-a-day-profit oil companies.

2. Long lines at the pumps last night....
The clerk says, "I hope you filled it. The price is going way up in the a.m." I told her, "duh, no shit?"

Last year at this time a fill-up for me was $15. Last night...$42.

5. Fox news was pushing this idea all day yesterday
as they covered the approach of Hurricane Katrina.

Yes, I'm sure that the oil that's not getting pumped right now would be at the pumps tomorrow, making the price increases necessary :sarcasm:

Idoit profiteers. Welcome to the robbern barons of the 21st century.

This just in: President Bush stubs his toe - gas predicted to rise by 15 cents.

I heard the same thing and decided to take action today.
