Jim Petro's ad for Governor

Opening shot ..... of Jim.
"What does God want?"
Family shots and talk of his marriage.
"I believe that marriage is a sacred bond between a man & a women."
Shot of a bible.
"My faith will help in my leadership."

The Christian Taliban is alive in Ohio.

The son of a bitch might want to check out the commandment that says
"Thou shall no steal."
or
"Thou shall not bare false witness against thy neighbor."

Because that was how bush won Ohio in 04.

Maybe THAT's the part of Biblical teachings that Petro really finds the most pertinent to his beliefs. :rofl:

8. I was sitting here reading posts on DU when

his ad came on TV. I never saw it before until just now, needless to say I became ill. I had to get up and clear my head. Talk about courting the fundie vote? MAN the ad is crazy! But what his ad does show me is that he has nothing to run on, no record, no practical policies. He is basically just saying "Hey I believe in God and I believe in the good book, and for that reason vote for me." All his ad did for me is to further strengthen my hatred for this guy!

10. I'm from Michigan...

and I was in Ohio for all of last month and saw this ad a few times and I just shook my head.

I had never seen an ad that was just about abortion and gay marriage. Even the Republicans in Michigan talk about things like the economy and education, things that really matter (though they know nothing about them).

I saw how different Ohio Republicans are from Michigan Republicans. All the idiot Repunks here in Michigan care about is guns, taxes, and cutting programs that benefit the poor and minorities.
