Report: Oklahoma One Of Five Worst States For Women
http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1104/188278.html

A new report on the status of women says Oklahoma is one of the five worst states in the nation for women.

The national survey by the Institute for Women's Policy Research says one in seven Oklahoma women lives below the poverty line and one in five has no health insurance.

A woman's median income in the state is 35-hundred dollars less than the national average and women in 40 other states are more likely to have a college education.

The institute also reported that women in 43 other states are more likely to work in managerial or professional positions.

Oklahoma tied with Arkansas for Number 47 in the biennial ranking. Oklahoma ranked ahead of only Kentucky, South Carolina and Mississippi.
