Was the Fiesta Bowl a heartbreaker or what?
I think that game aged me ten years. Congratulations to the Broncos, though. They played a great game.

1. Yeah, but ...

The heartbreaking part was the first three quarters. If the Sooners had played the rest of the game like they did the 4th quarter, we wouldn't have had the heart-stopping final minutes. For the brief period I thought we'd actually won it, my mind was already processing the inevitable disputes that would have erupted about how we got lucky.

Boise State beat us, straight up, fair and square, unlike another team near that part of the world. Gotta give it to 'em.

This entire day sucked, frankly. None of the teams I wanted to win even brought a game, except OU, and they only for one quarter.

2. Absolutely, they beat us.
I have no complaints about Boise State. As I posted in another forum, their program has a lot of integrity and class.

3. Indeed, a heartbreaker.
But damn, what a good game. BSU deserved that win--they played like hell. I hated to lose the third bowl game, though.

4. Me too, but look on the bright side.
After everything the Sooners have been through this year, nobody thought we would even be in the Big 12 Championship game, much less win it and go to a BCS bowl. I have to give Bob Stoops a lot of credit for getting through the obstacles this year.

6. You beat me by at least an hour.
I kept thinking how different the game might have been if the Sooners had played the entire game the way they played the last few minutes of the fourth quarter. Again, though, I don't want to take anything away from the Bronco. They played a great game and earned the win.

9. I enjoyed it
I don't like OU. It's a republican school. And the local newspaper gives OSU no respect while always going gaga over OU.

10. It was hard to be a liberal student there.
There were so many repubs that had no clue what was going on with reagan in the white house. Yes, I am showing my age. Those dorks would complain and complain that their financial aid was going down and then say that the loved that man. It was scary that they were in college and couldn't put two and two together.

11. The OU fans I work with are insufferable
That's why I wear lot's of OSU stuff. It makes them mad. It's always good to make a right winger/OU fan mad:)...............

I'm a third generation OU alumna and the fourth generation is there now.
We certainly aren't right-wingers. In fact the only people who really get weird about the OSU-OU stuff are OSU people. Of course it is well known that people who can't cut it intellectually at OU, go to OSU because it's an aggie school. :-)

And seriously, equating politics with football or any other sport is ridiculous. LOL - ..like Idaho is a bastion of liberals .. geez
