Wow. I hope this isn't tornado "season" starting earlier than usual.

I'll be joining you guys this summer. Stay safe, and please check in!

1. I'm out of the country...
but my husband was fine as of this afternoon. I haven't heard from him this evening, though the worst hadn't hit Norman yet when I last spoke to him. He saw mammatus (sp?) clouds and tons of lightning when I spoke to him earlier. I'm sure he's okay.

I HATE being gone when this stuff happens. As weird as it sounds, if a tornado is going to hit, I'd rather be home with my husband and dogs. Being alone in a faraway place is miserable and nerve-wracking.

Hope you're safe as well.

2. Glad to hear you're all safe and sound.
I'm not actually in OK yet--I'm moving back this summer.

But I heard from a friend in Norman that it didn't get hit (as usual, thank goodness), but that OKC got four. And I read this morning that as many as 15 were killed near Ardmore in Lone Grove. :(

I kind of understand what you mean about being home. I always hated it when I was stuck up at campus when there was a storm coming or happening. I wanted to get home ASAP to be with my dogs and near my neighbors, even though I was probably much more likely to be hit at home in Moore.

Hopefully this'll be it for a while...I'll keep my fingers crossed for that.
