1. I don't know if you've seen the Facebook movement..
but there is an OCKupy OKC (Think that's how they spell it). I'm in Ohio now, but my husband is still in Oklahoma. Apparently, according to the Occupy Norman- University of Oklahoma page, the original OKC page (which had a couple thousand "likes") was hacked, so this is the new one. https://www.facebook.com/OccupyOKCOfficialPage

2. Yeah.
You had me until you said Norman and OU. I avoid that place like the plague.

Anyway, as I said, there's an OKC movement. There is also a Stillwater movement.

4. Why isn't there an OKC movement?
Let's go fill up Mary Fallin's front yard and see what happens. Why are we occupying Norman? No one is there! We need to be at the state capital.

And why are people occupying Norman? How 'bout the fact that tuition rates go up every single year? Part of the reason college students are marching is because they are getting screwed with student loans and tuition. I just graduated- 3 degrees (all state schools) and 100K in debt.

ETA: My FIRST response to you had the Occupy OKC's facebook page link on it.

7. I'm in Ohio for work...I don't know anyone at the OKC...
function, but I do know that they've been having some problems with their facebook page being infiltrated. Not surprising, given the state of affairs in our glorious state.
I'm actually flying in to OKC on Thursday, but my husband and I live in Norman, so I'll probably go there. Love the university, but the rising fees are part of the reason I'm in so much debt (and that's not just OU's fault, it's every university).

There's actually a petition up that's asking them to apologize to the community at large, each other, and the people who left, and actually the Occupy Wall Street movement in general, because of problems with creating a peaceful environment for nightly meetings and the safety and health of their own kitchen volunteers, among other things:
