Call Gordon Smith on keeping the filibuster

DailyKos said he's on the fence now, due to so many calls.

We need to keep this up. Come on, changing the fundamental rules
of the Senate so the minority voice isn't heard?

As you know, Gordon is not all bad. He's no Democrat, but he knows on what side his bread is buttered.

3. Gordo will make a show of ambiguity, but he will vote with Frist

Pea-packer knows he needs to turnout the votes of the rabid rightwingers to hold office in 2008. This is a key vote for them, and key to getting additional money and props from the GOP bigwigs next time around. He will make some well-publicized neutral noises to appease the moderates, and then vote to ban filibusters of judicial nominations.

Anyone want to bet me on this?
