I was really worried they were going to leave. That would have been distinctly UNGOOD, in my opinion.

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Air National Guard fighter jets will remain at Portland International Airport.

A nine-member independent commission, citing concerns about homeland security and defense in the Pacific Northwest, unanimously rejected a Pentagon recommendation to move 15 Air National Guard jets from the region.

Yes, I know the military and the panel and some other folks had a lot to do with them staying, but--so did my beloved Governor K. People really should learn not to mess with him. He doesn't like it.
