3. I phoned Smith's Portland office...
...and told them that my family had voted conservative for generations (true, previous generations) and that I could not support the non-conservative idea of a Unitary Executive and hoped that Smith would not support Alito. I was dismissed very quickly.

I feel that I ought to be out on the street at Smith's office with a sign.

Hit his toadies with the "unitary executive" a few times, maybe even record the scene on video and web-publish it.
