Klamath Falls DUers!! Dam Removal Event TOMORROW
CITIZEN COMMENTS REQUESTED ON DAM

REMOVAL AND KBRA TODAY

AT THE FAIRGROUND EVENT CENTER

Hosted by Rep. Garrard, Rep. Gilman and Sen. Whitsett

November 10, 2009 @ Klamath County Fairgrounds Event Center

Two sessions: 1 PM TO 4 PM AND 6 PM TO 9 PM

The Klamath County Legislative delegation will host a forum today for citizen comments regarding the Draft Agreements on dam removal and the KBRA at the Klamath Fairgrounds Event Center.

Your Legislators are providing the forum to listen to citizen concerns. They will neither be commenting on the draft agreements nor answering questions.

If implemented, these agreements have the potential to change the lives of all people who live, work, and are electric utility ratepayers in the Klamath River Basin. Significant amendments are being made to these draft agreements without public comment.

Those who wish to comment will be asked to sign a request to speak card. The order of speakers will be established by random selection of those signed cards.

Each participant will be allowed from three to five minutes to express their opinions. Time allotted will be determined by the number of citizens requesting to speak.

All speakers and other attendees are encouraged to provide signed written testimony. Documentation of the testimony is strongly encouraged. The entire proceeding will be recorded on DVD.

The Legislative delegation will make the compiled testimony and DVD available to elected officials, government agency decision makers and to the media.

Today is the day to express your opinions at the Event Center.

4. Which is stupid
We should never skip an opportunity to educate people.

And yes there are DUers in KFalls, although I can't remember names right off.

5. I couldn't agree with you more. Stupid.
I actually get over to KF quite often. I've got old Duck roommates who live there and I do some work there, too. The only DU bumper sticker I've ever seen in KF is mine. There is a growing caucus of Democratic party workers in KF, though - that is true. All things change.

6. Yeah, there are a few of us here in Kalamity Flats...
but it has to be a pretty small group. We are a long way from anywhere else.
