Grants Pass - Medford people
When talking about Kerry, would it help to mention Tony McPeak's endorsement and the fact that he graduated from Grants Pass High back in the 50's? Sometimes that local connection helps. A local boy, voted mostlyy Republican, Joint Chiefs, saying to vote for Kerry. Every little bit helps I think.

1. Tony McPeak is the ideal person to persuade conservatives.
I had hoped that his appearance in Medford would be better attended, but the local Democratic Party did nothing to promote it even though it was scheduled months before the Dumbya desperation visit. McPeak was a Republican and is now an Independent. He remains a conservative but has great faith in John Kerry. He stated that with John Kerry, "we may just land on our feet". He has really studied John Kerry and gotten to know him as person. If John Kerry carries southern Oregon, the veterans for Kerry who invited McPeak to the valley will deserve a lot of the credit.
