Did anyone else see Jon Delano's piece on KDKA on Online dating with a Political Spin?
I am just steaming. :grr:

http://kdka.com/politics/local_story_045150002.html

"(KDKA) ZELIENOPLE Many people use the internet to look for love. But several Web sites are serving up romance with a side of politics.

Liberalhearts.com, Democratpassions.com and Actforlove.org are dating Web sites for people whose political beliefs lean to the left.

But Ron Kragnes, 27, who lives in Bloomfield, is looking for a match on the other side of the political spectrum.

“I lean more conservative, pro-life, those type of issues, and definitely want to date someone with those same values,” he said.

So is Becky Busch, 30, from Dormont.

“I just have more conservative beliefs -- less government, less taxes -- and I believe in God, and he's part of my life so he better be part of your life, too, if you're going to date me,” she said.

Both of them have clicked on Zelienople-based Conservativematch.com.

It was founded by Brian Bacarro, Jason LaFosse and Mike Llyod – three young conservatives who say values and politics are important.

“Both politics and religion, I mean, the core, what it really comes down to is a person's beliefs, and I think it makes a big difference,” LaFosse said."

What they left out of the online report was that LaFosse said something to the effect of "After all you don't want to find out someone you're dating is...

AND JON DELANO SAYS: "A DEMOCRAT."

To which Mr. LaFosse replies, "Or Worse." OR WORSE! What the heck does that mean?

I felt this whole report implied that Democrats have no values or don't believe in religion. I called KDKA and left a message stating my displeasure with their little biased Jon Delano report. I am furious. I hope somebody else saw this report, too. :grr:

1. Hi neen! I saw it, too. Did you see toward the end that Becky Busch,
the conservative who believes in God, rejected Conservativematch.com because of their views on women? She was put off by their expectation that women would be submissive, stay at home, etc. That part just cracked me up!

As for the other part, "or worse", I think those young men made themselves look stupid. I really wasn't offended by it, and those three jagoffs would do well to remember where they are - Western PA is still heavily *gasp* Democratic!

It does make you wonder what they feel is "worse" than a Democrat, though, doesn't it?

:hi:

2. Yeah, she wasn't having a whole lot of luck.
Maybe she'd have a little more luck looking on the liberal sites. After all, there are Democrats who believe in God...she may find that unbelievable, but it's true.

How about the part where John Delano made a crack about "bleeding hearts?"

I kept wondering, if those three young men were so wrapped up in their "conservative values" why weren't they signed up for Iraq?

3. Yep - if they really wanted to help this country, they could be
over in the Middle East - you know, fighting them over there so we don 't have to fight them here?

That Becky woman also said that she believes in conservative values, like smaller government. That's pretty comical, since Bush has done everything except reduce the size of government!

All I can say is thank God they've chosen to keep to themselves, we don't need them out here in the general population. :)
