Nader ballot petition challenged in SC
Nader faces battle
Effort to keep independent off of ballot launched

BY SCHUYLER KROPF

Of The Post and Courier Staff
Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader badly wants to get on the ballot in South Carolina, but some lawyers aligned with the Democratic Party are doing their best to block him.

An anti-Nader ballot challenge fueled by Democrats nationally has landed in South Carolina, where lawyers are protesting the validity of some of Nader's petition signatures.

2. I forgot to look...

I forgot to look to see if Ralph made it on the presidential ballot, but i'd assume so as there were about five or six other choices for various parties other than Democrat or Republican.

You know, I may face some grief for this, but I really respect Ralph Nader. I voted for Ralph in 2000 (even though S.C. went to Georgie boy) based on principle, that this country is being controlled and manipulated by major corporations that support both Dems and Pubs.

Then, after the Florida fiasco, I realized that there's a difference between being correct and doing the right thing. In essence, Ralph is correct on most of his issues and is to be commended as an American trying to make a change.

However, being correct isn't necessarily the right thing to do. Al Gore sure could have used the majority of those extra 3,000 Nader votes in Florida.

This time around, i'm making Kerry my choice.
