Fearing Problems, Greenville NAACP Plans To Assist Voters
http://www.thecarolinachannel.com/politics/3833571/detail.html

The Greenville chapter of the NAACP says it will work to make sure that everyone who is allowed to vote is able to vote; Greenville NAACP President Paul Guy said he is concerned about the voting process in Greenville County. He said voting lines have been changed, and people are confused about where they should be voting, so he is asking voters to take steps to make sure their vote counts.

# Guy said the NAACP is taking four steps to assist the process: It wants new voters in Greenville county to go straight to the election commission office to vote beginning Wednesday Oct. 20.
# The NAACP will have a representative available to assist anyone that may need help in the voting process.
# It will begin training poll observers on Oct. 21.
# The NAACP will request the county's election commission to extend the hours of operation to 7:30 p.m. each day until Election Day.

"We should have an orderly process. The problem is that the election commission created this misunderstanding, created this confusion. If you follow our guidelines or our request, then there shouldn't be any problems it should be a smooth process on Election Day," Guy said.

"If people knee-jerk react and they jump to conclusions and they want to circumvent the proper procedure for elections, it will only mess things up, but then again, there are people out there who really want to disrupt the elections process, and I hope others will not allow them to do that," said Conway Belangia, director of elections for Greenville County. WYFF News 4’s Nigel Robertson will have more on this story at 11 p.m.

Anyone know anymore of what's going on in Greenville?
