1. Hey, homies.
I'm a good sandlapper living in (thank god!!) California now. I haven't seen anything about an endorsement (by The State) of Kerry or bush yet. Any word on that?

Send boiled peanuts.

3. Even more ironic...

I'm a native South Carolinian and I think we live in the same town, Rock He-yull.

Being from Columbia I feel like a fish out of water here in the upstate. Do you like it here?

4. Sometimes I still feel that way
I've been in SC for 8 years now. Been in Rock Hill for about the last 3 but within this last year I've gone out of my way to get involved locally.... last year with a group of Deaniacs, then after Dean lost the primaries I sat for a week and sulked and then we regrouped and said what now, well let's take over the county party. So I think we have been a real key in energizing the local party this year.

Do you drive to and from Rock Hill to Columbia each day? I work in Columbia and have to drive each day just wondering.

7. I would if I could,
but since I am a "poor" school teacher, I cannot afford it. I do, however, spend most weekends in Columbia or Litchfield.

I responded to your posting about the number of INEZ signs on another thread, but never received a response, so I will try again here. I must retract my statement about having only seen one sign, sometimes I'm not all that attentive toward such things. I've been trying to obtain a yard sign for Kerry and Inez, but the local Dem HQ on Oakland St. does not seem to have any when I go by; they told me that those they have handed out have been stolen and people keep returning for more, hence the lack of supply. Oh well, I still have my "Veteran for Kerry Edwards" bumper sticker.

Let's hope SC is "too close to call" for at least a few minutes next Tuesday. I think that would be a good sign for the overall campaign.

8. Well the Herald endorsed Kerry
of course the horrible Voice of the People have come with it saying that the majority of York residents are Republican .... I know SC will go Bush but I hope at least our little county will go Blue first as a congratulations to all the local Dems who have worked so hard but also to proved the author of that LTTE wrong about the majority of York Co residents!

I'll try to spot a Veteran for Kerry Edwards car while I'm in town. I have a K/E sticker, a "A True Patriot Act/Vote Bush Out" and a another KE sticker on my car.

Resolve on war makes flawed Bush our reluctant choice

PRESIDENT BUSH has disappointed us in many ways.

He promised to be a uniter, not a divider. Yet faced with our nation’s second Pearl Harbor — a tremendous opportunity to set aside differences and pull the country together — he continued to pursue an ideological domestic agenda, from attacking affirmative action to dismantling environmental protections. And his policies have been not only divisive, but often destructive. Consider:

• Rather than asking us to sacrifice in a time of war, he has doled out tax cut after tax cut, and taken us from a nearly balanced budget to staggering deficits.

• Rather than cutting spending while cutting taxes, he has presided over the largest increase in the federal government since Lyndon Johnson — increasing federal spending on education (a state function) by 65 percent, and creating a whole new Medicare entitlement.

(uh, etc.)

In other words, they wrote a Kerry endorsement, then put Bush's name at the top.
