Upset in Richland County's auditor's race - Need Info!!
In the Democratic Primary, Richland County's auditors race was supposed to be a sure thing. It turned out to be a major upset.

Incumbent Harry Huntley has been the county auditor since 1989. He is the only auditor in SC with a CPA. His opponent was Paul Brawley, who has run unsuccessfully for different county offices over the past 20 years. I don't know much else about Mr. Brawley. The campaign consisted of fliers, signs, and a couple of newspaper articles.

Does anyone know the dynamics of this race? What happened? I never heard anyone even discuss this race.

Please help me find out more about this election.

Harry Huntley 6000+ votes

No matter what their ads say. 'My vote counts'? Not if you don't belong to the 'right' party.
