Senator Frist has been running around calling any request for information on why the United States unnecessarily invaded Iraq ‘a stunt’. Meanwhile the President of the United States, Mr. George Bush, gave an interview to an Argentine newspaper where he revealed the contents of his pockets. He told the reporter, "No dinero, no mas. No wallet." In English that is, ‘No money, no more. No wallet.’ Senator Frist doesn’t want to talk about the reasons the United States went to war because the answers to the question of why we invaded Iraq are much the same. Something like this, ‘No Weapons of Mass Destruction, no more. No oil.’ He has systematically avoided real issues while putting minor items at the top of the Senate schedule. These days in the Senate, with Frist running the order of events, long winded speeches about anything from Alaskan fish to Tennessee tomcats are the norm. In fact on May 12, 2005 Senator Frist presided over the United States Senate in the matter of “AUTHORIZING USE OF CAPITOL GROUNDS FOR GREATER WASHINGTON SOAP BOX DERBY”. In Iraq on that same day USAID released their weekly ‘Financial Summary’ report. It included 4 million dollars for ‘Marshlands’, 2 separate contributions to ‘Trust Funds’ (5 million apiece), a little more than 42 million for ‘Civil Society’ and another payment of $39,238 also for ‘Civil Society’. Should we continue to carry Frist or should the Republican Party put a responsible Senator in charge instead of a news-hound like Frist?
