Brentwood senator backs bill to reject fed's clean air plan

The state Senate is scheduled to vote on a resolution to declare that Tennessee wouldn't participate in a federal system for limiting greenhouse gas emissions.

Republican Sen. Jack Johnson of Brentwood, the resolution's main sponsor, says the cap-and-trade system being debated in Congress would serve as a "hidden tax" on energy consumers.

1. I'm so glad that Republicans are looking after us little folks and trying to
protect us from "hidden taxes". Or could it be they are trying to protect their wealthy contributors and to hell with us little folks having clean air to breathe
