Welcome

LEAF is a Christian fellowship of Tennesseans whose faith leads them to take action for Tennessee’s environment. Concern for God’s Creation is not a matter of being liberal or conservative, a Republican or a Democrat. We believe people of faith can look beyond such distinctions and do the Lord’s work together.

Response to Lt. Gov. Ramsey

Letters have been pouring in since Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey's comments on February 18th concerning mountain top removal in Tennessee. "We need the coal," he said to the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce. He also said that the Tennessee Scenic Vistas Protection Act would end all coal mining in the state. This is not even close to true.

Through original multimedia/performances that incorporate music, film, theater, literature and spoken word, the Project serves as a creative catalyst for dialogue and understanding of the growing impact of mountaintop removal and underground coal mining, climate change and renewable energy alternatives in our daily lives, our communities, our cultures, and our environments.
