Wanted by law enforcement agencies: former Republican state representative candidate Jeffrey Lynn Cassman

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation hopes the public can lead it to a man accused of running an investment scheme before disappearing with his wife and nine children more than a year ago.

Jeffrey Lynn Cassman, 34, whose last known address is listed as 2132 Academy Way in La Vergne, was added to the TBI's list of Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives Thursday.

He is facing mail fraud, securities fraud and theft charges.

Authorities believe Cassman, his wife, Sara, and their children may be in the Southwest United States or out of the country.

Cassman, who is known to carry firearms and speak several languages, once was a candidate for state representative from Cheatham County. He was arrested on theft charges in Dickson County in December 2007 and was out on bond in November 2008 when he disappeared with his family.
