KXEB 910AM Dallas - Air America is ONLINE.
Big D has progressive radio. I repeat, Big D has progressive radio. I've got Morning Sedition coming in on my little clock radio even as I speak, loud and clear in North Dallas. Let the day friggin' begin!!

4. Small world, ain't it?
I hope this takes off. I called some friends of ours to remind them AAR went online today; they appreciated the reminder greatly.

I guess the idea for now is we tell all our friends, co-workers, etc. until KXEB gets its own promotional house in order. I'm still waiting for the Randi bumper sticker to come in from Chicago; fingers crossed for arrival in the mailbox today.

5. Keep those of us who live west in mind-the signal needs to be
stronger for me to hear it. Luckily, it's still on the internet.

6. I think KXEB is trying to boost their signal to 25K
It'll probably take a little cash flow to get it done, but let's see what happens. Hang in there!

9. Yeah, I was listening to Morning Sedition on the air this morning
but as soon as Unfiltered came on I lost signal. I haven't had a chance to check since, 'cause I'm inside where we don't get any AM anyway....

30. A little fuzzy in Crowley, but gets stronger as I head into town
I really enjoyed listening a bit today! I've never liked to listen to talk radio before, but I guess I know why, now! They were always right wing stations! Hooray for liberal radio!

11. Congratulations Dallas!
I heard Al's welcome to their new affiliate in Dallas today. I think all AM stations are going to have a bit of trouble with their signals until they do some upgrades.

I have Sirius, but when I'm outside I listed to the Austin station on the radio and the signal occasionally drops off. Most of the time it comes in loud and clear.

If we keep listening they will upgrade, so keep tuning in. The Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and Brownsville stations are all owned by the same company.

Sonia

13. We're back on. I repeat, WE'RE BACK ON.
As of 12:26pm, I heard Al Franken, talking with a guest about "low-carbon diets" in relation to the ANWR vote. Let's hope KXEB worked out the kinks.

It may be too late to call in to Al, but if any Dallas folks can call up Randi Rhodes at 2:06 sharp, maybe we can give her a proper Texas welcome.

Yeeee-HAAA!! Let's do this thing!

21. The signal might not reach Fort Worth just yet
Two reasons: (1) KXEB transmits at only 1,000 watts at present, and (2) the transmitter took a lightning strike earlier this morning, which explains why we didn't hear Unfiltered today.

22. Mike Malloy Is Kicking Dallas Freeper Ass Tonight
I wonder how Dallas will react. The populace here is not used to such a frontal assault.

I hope a few Dallas Freepers are steaming right about now.

I also hope a few Dallas country club Republicans are slowly gyrating over an uncomfortable anus or choking over their martinis!

25. AAR in Dallas - Day 1
It's 9:15 at night.

I'm in Dallas, TX listening to talk radio.

There is a man screaming about psycopathic rightwing fundamentalists.

There is something very strange and wonderful about this picture.

I think I'm in heaven.

23. AAR in Big D is Terrific!
I've been lurking on DU for several months. I wanted to take this occasion of AAR being now available on radio in Dallas for me to emerge from the shadows. It was terrific to listen to AAR on the car radio, and not have to wait until I got home to listen on the internet.

24. Welcome to DU, DuckBurp!
And yes, it was a great feeling to hear Janeane Garofalo and Sam Seder on the car radio last night.

I was fortunate enough to tune in Air America when it first went online last year on March 31; got to hear Al Franken's and Randi Rhodes' first broadcasts on AAR, including Randi's famous smackdown of Ralph Nader.

It's an honor to have you break your silence on this thread. Cheers, pardner!

29. I'm sooo happy!!
I've been telling everyone to tune in. I've been writing it on boards all across campus.

I was literally clapping in my car the other day when Randi was tearing some neo-con a new one over Terri Schiavo. Clapping and cheering.

The signal isn't so great in my north Arlington apt, but a lil static is not gonna stop me from hearing the Oy, Oy, Oy, Show. No way.

I heart AAR, and I heart all of you DUers that made it possible for AAR to come to Dallas.
