They want to raise 1.5 million dollars for N's race against Stenholm. to get in the door it is 250 bucks and to be listed as a host it is 500 bucks. I would not pay that much to meet that man.

Vice President Dick Cheney is coming to Lubbock on June 11th. The visit is on behalf of Congressman Randy Neugebauer's campaign for District 19.

Approximately 20 Neugebauer campaign volunteers met Monday night, discussing details of an event which is still in the planning phase. For example, where will the vice president's reception be? At this point they're not sure yet.

But some details have been decided, such as how much it will cost to attend. The title of "Sponsor" goes for $25 per person or $50 per couple. The label "Host" will cost $500. And for the rank of "Victory 2004 Donor," attendees will pay $1,000. As a special thank you to those top donors they'll be able to meet Mr. Cheney and get their photo taken with the vice president. But they'll have to do so quickly, sources say the vice president will only be in Lubbock for one hour.

It's all part of an effort on behalf of the Neugebauer campaign to raise the $1.5 million dollars that they're expecting the race against Stenholm to cost.
