I just heard this on KXAS--I can't find a link yet

Talking about putting microchips into our inspection stickers to monitor insurance coverage?
Anyone know anything about this?
They can be randomly scanned by law enforcement--scary.

I can tell you one thing.
My inspection sticker is due in July and it will be the last one I put on my vehicle from this state.
