Citizens from all over the Houston-Galveston area will gather for a fun family festival to draw attention to the unscrupulous brand of politics practiced by U.S. Representative and House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Sugar Land). An evening of fun, food, and information is planned! Confirmed speakers include:
Richard Morrison, former Democratic candidate for Congressional District 22; former U.S. Representative
Chris Bell;
Lou DuBose, author of
The Hammer; and
Ivan Espinoza, a youth leader and founder of HDGE (Help Democrats Get Elected). Other highlights include True Majority's
“Spank-Tom DeLay-Mobile”, a grassroots activist training tent, and other fun games and activities for the whole family.

Free hot dogs with chili and cheese, chips, and drinks will be provided for everyone. We ask everyone to bring Desserts for Democracy to share and books to donate for the DFH “Books for Soldiers” community service project.
Democracy for Houston invites progressive clubs and organizations to set up a booth at our event. This is a great time to recruit new members.
