Please tell your city officials to tell people to take pets when they flee

New Orleans is full of dead pets because people thought that they would be back in a few days!

Please write the governor, and any officials in evacuations areas and remind them of this.

All rescue groups are currently overwhelmed with Katrina!

Which is what I've been saying for years: people won't evacuate because no shelters will take their pets.

2. Not everyone is going to shelters

Some people leave animals behind simply because they think they'll be back in a day or so.
