Austin DUers! Mark Strama Campaign F9/11 benefit Friday June 25
The "Fahrenheit 9/11" benefit party for Mark Strama For State Representative will take place Friday, June 25, at the Arbor at Great Hills Theater. Show times are not set but it will be the first evening show, probably between 7 and 8 p.m. Suggested donation is $20.00 per ticket, which is $8.00 for the movie and $12.00 for Mark Strama's campaign. If we get 50 people, the ticket price will go down and more money will be raised. Now, having said that, no one will be excluded because they can't afford $20.00. Send what you can, as long as it is at least $8.00.

For more information, (like where to send the check) PM me.

This is exactly the kind of creative financing thing we need to get us pumped. People like to have fun and they will pay extra at a benefit. Not too many people think about things like this.

Remember the Dean bat auction at the convention for $300. We should do more things like that. Have celebrities sign things and auction them off. How about a Willie Nelson bandanna, A Dixie Chicks signed CD etc. Sharon if you are lurking take these ideas to your Kerry meetup.

I'm passing this movie thing along to several friends.

4. Kicking it!
You may still have time to get in on Mark Strama's benefit but today is the absolute last day to get your payment in. (Wednesday)
http://markstrama.com/ You can call the office campaign and see if
they still have room at the fund raiser. You will have to drop off your money with their office if they do have room.

If you still want to go with a group this weekend there is another good group doing one on Saturday - DriveDemocracy.org

DriveDemocracy.org is proud to present a special screening of Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911. Our friends at the Texas Freedom Network sold out their opening night show so we thought we'd step in on Day 2 for those unable to attend Friday night.
