Citizens for Equality Election Protection becomes part of DCDP
Big news rec'd via email for those of us in the Dallas area. I think this consolidation can only help!

We think you will be delighted with the news that Election Protection will be a program of the Dallas County Democratic Party effective December 1, 2005.

Citizens for Equality will remain an entity, but will not have staff, volunteers or fundraising activities.

Karen, Darlene Ewing (Dallas County Democratic Party Chair), Theresa Daniel (DCDP Advisory Committee) and Harryette have been working on this move for several months and we are happy to make the announcement now.

Karen will office at the Dallas County Democratic Party office at 4209 Parry Avenue, Dallas, TX 75223 (214-821-8331) after December 1. Karen’s email address will be karen@dallasdemocrats.org. All the resources of Election Protection will be transferred to the Party office, including volunteers, training packages, pinnies, push cards, archives and Karen’s considerable research and writings.

Many of us have believed that the Dallas County Democratic Party is the proper home for Election Protection and we have appreciated all your guidance during the process of making the decision to transfer the program to the Party.

Of course, if you prefer not to join Election Protection because of this transfer and would like your name removed from the database or your contributions (since February 2004) returned, please call Harryette 214-824-3107 (hbe@swbell.net) or Karen 214-821-2511 (karen@citizensforequality.com). The Citizens for Equality telephone 214-821-2511 will remain in service for a while.

We're proud of the work that you accomplished in 2004 and we plan for Election Protection 2006 being just as impressive, exciting and successful.

Thank you again for all your support.

Respectfully,

Karen Croyle

Darlene Ewing

Theresa Daniel

Harryette Ehrhardt

1. Wonderful news!
I do think getting the local county parties involved in these efforts helps.

Good luck to the Citizens for Equality efforts!
