John Courage won the Progressive Patriot Award!

Thank you for voting in our recent online Congressional candidate event. I was thrilled to see how many of supported our first "Pick a Progressive Patriot." Almost ten thousand of you, from all fifty states, cast ballots for one of our eleven great candidates. I hope that with continued support from the grassroots, all eleven of these candidates are elected to the United States House of Representatives.

I am excited to announce that you have chosen John Courage to be our first Progressive Patriot. John is a terrific candidate running in the Texas 21st. He's running to protect social security from privatization, to bring affordable health care to all Americans, and to make our country a leader in alternative energy. He's a veteran who wants to bring our troops home safely, and a teacher who will work to improve public education. With so many deserving candidates competing in this online voting event, it is difficult to support only the candidates receiving the most votes, so we have also decided to make smaller contributions to each of the other ten candidates. There are many other strong democratic candidates running in 2006 who deserve our support.
