The campaign manager for David Van Os for TX Attorney General
is yours truly.

Blogging and posting will be a lot lighter, and non-existent after today as a matter of ethics about DVO, so I'll hope you other good people pick up the slack for me and the man Ronnie Duggar, the founder of the Texas Observer, calls "the Ralph Yarborough of his generation".

Please help out whenever you can. Thanks for all y'all do, and let's get to work turning Texas blue.

2. Wow! Congratulations!
If you need some assistance in Travis County, you've got a small army of volunteers.

7. Thanks, Dave!
You know we'll be calling on you.

In fact there is a need right now for volunteers of the clerical variety right now in the San Antone office. The number there is 210-225-1955, ask for Rachel VO and tell her you'd like to come up for a few hours or a morning or an afternoon or a day or two or three.

She needs help with data entry for the campaign and some other similar things, letter folding and stamping and such.

The campaign office in Austin is on Music Lane; Debbie Russell is the volunteer coordinator and the office # is 512-326-1970.

23. Oh, I know Debbie a little bit.
We worked together on getting a certain Mr. Pitt to speak before one of the Austin Town Hall meetings on the Patriot Act.

24. She is no stranger to the struggle.
She has worked for very few Democrats, though; in fact DVO may be the first, IIRC.

There have been rather large, heated e-mail exchanges in the past (not with me, but I've seen them). She's a good person to have on your side, though.

8. And thank you, cookie
(I'd rather not call you 'cracker'.)

Y'all up in Big D are important to the success of this campaign. I need to know when you're having candidate events and rallys and such, so they can get on DVO's calendar.

4. Congratulations PDittie!
I am so proud of you. I know you will do us proud. I just got back from a morning event for David working the VFW mid-winter event here in Austin. Plus his forum last night at the ACLU on corporate personhood rocked. Can't wait to see that on DVD again. It was so meaty. Handing out DVD copies of David's speeches was brilliant. We gave away a bunch of them at the DWF event. We need to keep that up.

5. Great work sonia
Since David can't see everybody in Texas to make his case, those DVDs are critical to his success.

Thanks for everything you do.

You da man! :yourock:

BTW, I've already volunteered here in Austin to do some data entry for the DVO campaign. Sonias nabbed me Wednesday night at Keep Austin Blue. :)

And no, it doesn't, though someone else is going to have to take D.L. over. It's on hiatus until another organizer steps forward.

When's the next meeting, do you meet on a regular day of the month, who's going to speak at the next one, etc.

It's easy for DVO to get up there from San Antone, you know.

13. Congrats PDittie
I'm sure you will be a good manager from what I've of your participation here on the TX forum.
You will make sure that DVO, gets the exposure he deserves.

I also know you will help make his campaign highly visible. Or at least I hope you can, sometimes that may be out of your hands. But I know that you will keep us abreast of the happenings of everything Van Os.

20. Thanks, MM!
This is a whole different thing for me. I just hope we can pull it off.

Visualize David on the steps of the Capitol taking the oath of office this time next year. And then back up from there, thinking about what has to be done to bring that vision into reality. And then pick a place to help. Any place will be fine.

26. Perry was an easy choice.
Now everybody, let's rock and roll!

At a near future time, after the gangsters have been run out and the corporatocracy broken up, we'll be remarking to each other about how much easier it was to kick their butts than we thought it would be. I almost said "just watch and see," but none of us have the luxury to be spectators. It's all in our hands.

28. That must be like managing a water franchise in a desert.
It's great when you see an excellent candidate hook up with a smart innovative staff. If there's anything we can do in South Texas, let us know.

29. Expect the PM in your box Czolgosz
PDittie or I will be contacting you.

We need to work the VFW event in CC in June. That event here in Austin was huge and they say the one in Corpus Christi is the state convention and twice the size of the one here. We need to reconnect with our veterans like we did here.
