Becoming a delegate to the Texas Convention
If you are NOT a delegate to the senate district convention, and they have available slots to the convention in Ft Worth you can become a delegate to the State Convention.

Contact your senate district chair and get the information on how to do this.

Remember you can go to the state convention without being a delegate, but be one. Most of the time the SD have slots available especially the districts far away from Ft Worth.

Anyone whant to chime in?

I plan to find someone who looks like they know what they are doing and follow them like a little lost calf.

Do you have any recommendations as to reading material about the convention? That way I could go in and look like it was all old hat and present that highly desirable bored veteran air.

7. Not necessarily correct information
If a senate district is wholly within a county, then that SD has a senatorial convention. However, many SD's span more than one county. In that case, a county convention is held.

2. You can have your name added on as a Senatorial District delegate
even if you didn't attend the precinct convention as long as there are slots available. Just call the local SDEC person to get your name added.

8. John is right
I don't know my precinct chair, but I found out who it was and contacted her by email. She now has me on the list to be a delegate to the senate district convention and is even using my name in a letter to recruit four more delegates from the people in my precinct who voted in the democratic primary! There are five of us so far and she needs nine people total. So, it must not be too late to contact your precinct chair and get on the list!

10. Names can be added up until the time the credentials committee
finalizes the list of delegates and the credentials committee report is adopted by the convention.
