National Democratic Message - Who are these people??
www.nationaldemocraticmessage.net

Anyone know? They are putting big signs all around TX-22 from Clear Lake to Fort Bend. None of us know who they are and their website gives no clues. They are putting up their signs right next to our candidate signs we've put up and we think it may confuse voters since it's an unknown organization. If we don't find out more about them soon, we are taking their signs down. In some cases, they slapped signs up right next to a sign we put up where we KNOW the person asked for just one particular sign of ours - we don't want our friends to think we are putting these other signs up without asking them!

Anyway, here's a link to a photo of the sign they put up right outside our Fort Bend Democratic headquarters:

Let me know if you have any info at all on this group. Thanks!

1. According to WHOIS
Registrant:
Domain Listing Agent (NRPDB) nationaldemocraticmessage.net@domainlistingagent.com
PO Box 927010
San Diego, CA 92192-7010
United States
Phone: +1 (858) 731-1701

Not much information, and their site doesn't appear to be very active. It looks like a work in progress.

2. Yeah, we saw that Fort Bend HQ today - here's what we wonder
Is this a LaRouche organization? It's sort irritating that they went to all the locations where we have signs and just planted one of theirs along side of ours. We took the ones down that they put outside our headquarters. We don't want the community to think we are behind this sign attack! Maybe they are legit, but they seem to be inaccessible.

3. I think that is a generic listing....
I think they are keeping the listing private. Sometimes if you go to that email domian, you can get the owner by doing a whois from THAT site, but I tried it, and I didn't see a whois there. Anyway, they may have paid for a private listing.

IN addition, when I googled it, I found this at a wingnut site....

Democrats Caught in Illegal Automated Calling Scheme
Wednesday, August 30, 2006 6:27 PM

Indiana Attorney General Steve Carter has announced that he will be agressively pursuing legal action against entities sending out pre-recorded automated calls in Indiana. Such calls are in violation of Indiana's "Automatic Dialing Machine" statute. Apparently his announcement has been prompted by an increasing number of such automated calls by Democrat activist groups.

Those of us living in southern Indiana have been subjected to numerous automated calls in recent months attacking Congressman John Hostettler.

....

I fully intend to make the relevant information available to the Attorney General so that he can prosecute www.nationaldemocraticmessage.net.

4. I found something else a little disturbing
http://www.conservatibbs.com/2006/08/where-is-baron.html

The National Democratic Message group screwed one of their signs to a Dem opponent's business sign. The opponent accused the Dem of running a dirty campaign. Here's a bit of that:

That brings to mind a very infortunate incident earlier this week. Bud Bernitt, a Bloomington political activist who founded Citizens for Truth in 2004 to highlight Baron Hill's leftist voting record, found one of the signs for his realty business vandalized. A sign for a group calling itself the "National Democratic Message" had been screwed onto the Bernitt Realty sign.

Now is the time for Baron Hill to prove whether or not he truly believes in the campaign promise he signed. As you can see on this screenshot of the N.D.M. web site, the organization supports Baron Hill's re-election effort through a link to Hill's campaign site. Hill should publicly rebuke both N.D.M. and the thugs who vandalized Bernitt's property.

If the put any near our signs, they are coming down.
I will store them so they can pick up.

this is beginning to piss me off.

7. Amendment II Democrats may try something similar closer to Election Day
Only thing is, we're still a work in progress, too - cash is always a factor, especially if your discretionary income is being split between funding your candidates and filling your gas tank. But at least we have nothing to do with those LaRoucheoids.

My idea for our sign is on of these two ideas:

Support America
VOTE STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC

Remember New Orleans
VOTE STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC

Your thoughts?

8. Our sign like that is the Had Enough? sign
It's our Fort Bend Democrats club design:

Had Enough?
Vote Democratic . . . for a change

http://www.brazosriver.com/adoptasign.htm

We gave the Arkansas Democratic Party the art work to these when some of their leadership stopped in to our headquarters recently. Pretty cool!

National Democratic Message
I've never heard of that site before this weekend, but I got a handful of referrals from them which is nice. But they totally misspelled the title of this blog on their PA blogs page. If anyone knows who runs it, or if someone from DNM comes across this post, please fix it.

11. That must be their tactic
Just to hop on sign locations already secured up by Democrats.

I think it is irritating (to those of us putting up signs) and confusing (to voters).
